Un-Dye Your Outfit Program
Thursday, July 10th from 3:00-4:30 7th grade and up
We will be using bleach pens to decorate old jeans, shirts, hats, bags, shoes, anything!! Just bring in whatever you wanna decorate, time to clean out your closet and create something new. No need to sign up, just come into the library during that time, and it's free!! Plus earn more library loot towards great prizes. Hope to see you there!

My book of the month!
Unfortunately, as you all know, I am a full time college student, so I don't get to read as much as I would like to. But, I do make some time to read, (or listen to books in my long commute). This month I am reading "Pretties" by Scott Westerfeld.
It is book #2 in the "Uglies" series. I just started it, but I'll let you know more about it as I read it. Uglies was difficult for me because I am not one to read science fiction, but by the end of it I couldn't wait to read the second one!!

New High School Book Discussion Group
The Avon Public Library is officially starting their High School Book Discussion with the book, "Hallowmere, In the Serpent's Coil" by Tiffany Trent. Our first discussion will be on January 14th. We are also creating a 5 minute movie trailer to go along with this book that will be entered into the Hallowmere trailer contest to try and win the library a Nintendo Wii. We are calling anyone that would like to be a director, writer, producer, actor, actress, visual effects, etc. Any help is appreciated and needed. If you are interested just message me and I will be sure to get you a copy of the book A.S.A.P.!!!
